Por Buenaventura

 

“Distrito Especial, Industrial, Portuario, Biodiverso y Ecoturístico”, Buenaventura es el primero y principal puerto colombiano sobre el Océano Pacífico. En una de sus comunas, la número 7, desde 1970 se levanta San Francisco, un barrio fundado por pobladores que venían de Yurumanguí, el Chocó, Anchicayá y diferentes zonas ribereñas.   Aunque a San Francisco aún muchos no quieren entrar, hoy, según sus pobladores ya no se libran combates, lo que podría indicar que una de las partes en conflicto, las llamadas BACRIM o bandas criminales, ha ganado el territorio.  Aun así la comunidad, sus jóvenes y varias organizaciones, desde muchos frentes trabajan día a día para recuperar completamente de su territorio.

“Special district, industrial, port, bio diverse and eco touristic”, Buenaventura is the first and main colombian port on the Pacific Ocean. In one of it’s communes, the number 7, since 1970 San Francisco has been building up, a neighborhood founded by people from Yurumangui, the Chocó, Anchicaya and different zones along the river. Although many remain reluctant to enter San Francisco, today, according to its inhabitants there are no more combats, which might indicate that one of the parts of the conflict, one of the so called BACRIM-s or criminal bands, has won the territory. Despite this situation, the community, its youth and various organizations work day to day from several fronts to completely recover its territory.
